I'm not sure who she's trying to contact....LOL!



She's with ate Kai. She's our temp ate while ate Gina went home in Masbate to visit her bf who had a motorcyle accident. Ate Kai left us last year to go back to school. She finished second year high school but passed the exam that will let her take college and skip 3rd year and 4th year. We are happy for her. I wish I can pay her the same salary that the rich yayas are getting so she will stay with us because the kids really like her.

Sunday mess

 

As I was cleaning the room, the kids were busy making mess at the living room. To those nawies having a hard time implementing no TV, this will work. Let them make a mess and they will forget about TV time.

Realities of life

Yesterday, I went to Makati Med to visit my friend who's dad is in ER...I wss shocked to know that her dad died about an hour before I arrived.

The sad reality is, while you are grieving, you have to arrange for the interment. You have to arrange which funeral and where to lay his body to rest. Good thing her dad had bought a lot at manila memorial so that's one thing less to worry.

It got me thinking, what will happen if something happens to me or my husband? I don't want to dwell on it...but shouldn't we prepare for it so that those we will leave won't have to worry about it and proceed grieving for us?

This is something that I have to put on my to do list (though not a priority at this point). I'll get back to it as soon as I settle with Life Insurance.

For now, we need to strive to live healthy and hope to live for a long time.

Haircut

The ate left the scissors within reach...and this is what happened.... 

 

Alec cut her own hair. I'm just glad she didn't hurt herself in the process. Sabi ni Eric mukha syang doble kara. Long hair sa isang side and short naman sa isang side. Totally nawala yung bangs nya. Buti na lang nagawan ng paraan. But she looks thinner now with short hair.

Can't sleep

 

Alec and Ehra are sleeping at the other room while Basty sleeps in our room. Last night we can't sleep, so we played with the camera :)

Too young for eyeglasses

2 weeks ago, we noticed that Ehra's eyes are crossing (naduduling). At first, it would go back to normal after a period of time but by Thursday, it's like a permanent thing. So by Saturday we brought her to the Optha doctor in Makati Med. He referred us to pedia Ophta instead. We were able to meet the pedia ophta Wednesday afternoon. We choose the frame last Saturday and we got the glasses yesterday.
According to the doctor, Ehra is far sighted with grade of 400 (right eye) and 250 (left eye). I was shocked. Imagine, her grade is higher than mine. I also can't imagine her wearing glasses for a long period of time.
The next concern is, if after 2 to 3 months and the crossing of the eyes don't normalize, we might have to do the surgery.
Please pray that we don't need to go through that anymore.

Fever

Alec has fever. Teacher Che sent a message last Tuesday that Alec has fever. Yesterday, she did not go to school. As I was not feeling well myself, I stayed home too. This morning, she does not have fever anymore. I hope she'll be okay the entire day today so she can already go to school tomorrow. She loves going to school.

Independent

Today, Alec went to school on her own. I'm a bit worried. Last night, when we were prepping her that ate (yaya) won't be going with her to school, she told me that the mommies of her classmates are staying there so she wants me and daddy to stay with her. I told her that the mommies of her classmates don't go to work, but mommy and daddy need to go to work. So she said we'll just stay with her if we don't have work.
I'm not super worried because Alec is an independent girl. I know that she won't get bullied because she will fight back. Sabi nga ni yaya mas takot ang mga classmates nya sa kanya...and it was funny because when i saw the video which yaya took, she's the smallest in class.

Little Miss Philippines

Finality

It's final! I sold my elecrtic pump...i've let go...I'm not going to have another baby....not anymore. I'm actually regretting the decision of not having the ligation after giving birth to our third baby.

I've also given all the baby clothes and all the maternity clothes that I have.

No more babies! 3 is enough for us.

Senior Kinder

 

Basty is now senior kinder (prep). He didn't want to go inside the classroom at first. He said it's not his classroom. He was looking for his classmates. Fortunately, her new teacher was the assistant teacher when he was in Nursery so the teacher called him, that's the only time we were able to make him go inside the classroom. When the teacher started giving out clays and blocks, we took it as our cue to go.

To my Basty, hope you'll have fun learning experience this year. Let's see if you'll be a swimmer or a soccer player :)

The yaya was telling us that Alec is really enjoying going to school. She's not shy and she listens to teacher. May smiley stamp sya and she told yaya nung hinihilamusan sya not to erase it kasi ipapakita daw sa akin. When I arrived home tulog na sya so kaninang umaga, yun talaga ang pinakita nya sa akin :)



Alec bungisngis

 

 

 

 

There's a show called "Alice Bungisngis and the wonder walis" and the protagonist has an unkempt hair. We usually tease Alec and call her Alec bungisngis and she would shout at us and say "NO!"

Kahit magulo ang hair, pretty pa rin ang baby ko :)

Soccer video

Super nice to see the kids running and kicking the ball....mga mini azcals :)

Basty's first soccer session

Basty wanted to do soccer and we were lucky that Futbol Fanatics had a summer module in our place. It will be 10 sessions TTH, 4 to 5PM.

They started with stretching..

After that, they were taught to run like a Tiger and walk like a Turtle. After the stretching and the running, they were ready for the real thing. They were taught how to dribble the ball, in soccer term, it means kicking the ball (hands off please).

Once the kids were more comfortable kicking the ball (hitting the cones and through the goal), they grouped them into two teams. He was great, yes i know i am bias...hahaha...and i guess you can  call me a "soccer mom"...when i reviewed the videos, all i can hear is myself shouting at Basty to kick or to block the ball...hahaha.

He was a great goal keeper....

If only I can go on leave from work every soccer session and watch him. The fee we paid is so worth it...seeing him having fun. We bought the jeryseys that Futbol Fanatics were selling and I can't wait to see him wearing it.

Sick baby

My baby had tummyaches for a week. We had 3 trips to the ER of Makati Med. First trip, they did xray and urinalysis, both tests turned out okay. The second trip, they said it was 'kabag'. The third time they did CT Scan, CBC and fecalysis, thank God they found nothing wrong..but we had to stay so they can monitor his condition.

We were so anxious when they referred us to a surgeon...they wanted to eliminate the possibility of swollen appendix...i prayed so hard...i can't take that...thank God no surgery needed.

It was right timing when they didn't have lessons for a week, so I sent him to lola for tender loving care (TLC). Lola brought him to a hilot and made him drink 'leaves' extracts. I'm not sure which worked, i'm just glad he was okay when we came to pick him up.

Alehra's 1st birthday suppliers' rating

There are moms who plan their baby's birthday right after they recuperated from giving birth. NO, i'm not one of them...hahaha. As usual, I started planning 3 months before.

We pencil booked at Dad's Glorietta and 2 months before the event they called to inform me that they need to be strict with the time because they have a booking for a debut right after us. I did not like the idea of my guests being told to leave while we are still chatting so we cancelled the reservation.

With no venue and 2 months to go, where else to turn but to my reliable nawie sisters. I checked the archive on the supplier ratings and saw the review of sis Tet on Fun Ranch. So come weekend, I dragged hubby to go there to check the place. It's not our first time there, my kids love the place, but we haven't really paid attention to their party rooms since we go there for the rides. 

Another venue we considered was Milkyway (Pasay Road)  because of their sooo yummy food. Unfortunately, their minimum consumable was out of our budget..bohoohoo.
