Basty's 1st tooth(teeth) extraction

Last Saturday, September 22, we had to bring Basty to the dentist because his permanet teeth (2 front lower) were already emerging. If we didn't get the milk teeth emoved, the permanent teeth might come out crooked or remain inside his gum. I just want to say that Doc Jay did a terrific job. Basty went thru the whole process without experiencing pain. He did not even cry. When I asked him if he's okay to go through that again, he said okay. I can't say I had the same experience when I was a kid. I have to admit I had a fear going to the dentist. I am so happy we found doc Jay to take care of my children's dental needs and that my kids are not afraid of him.

wet, wet and wet

We did not go out of town, but the kids had fun getting wet in Hi-Street. We'll surely go back :)

Basty's first soccer session

Basty wanted to do soccer and we were lucky that Futbol Fanatics had a summer module in our place. It will be 10 sessions TTH, 4 to 5PM.

They started with stretching..

After that, they were taught to run like a Tiger and walk like a Turtle. After the stretching and the running, they were ready for the real thing. They were taught how to dribble the ball, in soccer term, it means kicking the ball (hands off please).

Once the kids were more comfortable kicking the ball (hitting the cones and through the goal), they grouped them into two teams. He was great, yes i know i am bias...hahaha...and i guess you can  call me a "soccer mom"...when i reviewed the videos, all i can hear is myself shouting at Basty to kick or to block the ball...hahaha.

He was a great goal keeper....

If only I can go on leave from work every soccer session and watch him. The fee we paid is so worth it...seeing him having fun. We bought the jeryseys that Futbol Fanatics were selling and I can't wait to see him wearing it.

El Dia Dela Hispanidad

A simple dance number makes a mommy proud...kahit pa di perfect, enough na sa akin na makita syang mag perform sa stage.

Report Card

I received Basty's report card last night and I was sooo happy...i'm such a proud momma. He got an average of 94.3...even I didn't get that average when I was studying...hehehe. I plan to schedule a meeting with his teacher. I want to discuss Basty's behavior with her. I want to know if he's noisy, bully or being bullied. If he participates in their discussion.

Basty's 5th birthday - Tarlac

Basty wanted a Jollibee party but Jollibee Capas is small and they don't have play area so we told him we'll just have it in Mcdo and he agreed. It's actually an advance celebration - we celebrated it Aug. 28 (Sunday).

Basty's 5th birthday - Pampanga

We were in Pampanga the day of Basty's birthday. Her lola bought cake and cooked Spaghetti and hotdog for the kids. There were games and it was really heartwarming to see kids play and have fun. Even Basty joined in the games.

Cupcake

I saw a post from Claire (nawie) on toddler activity with a link to this blog: http://moneysavingmom.com/2011/07/free-cupcake-busy-bag-instructions-and-pattern-download.html

I went to the blog and downloaded the file last Friday. So come Saturday, Basty and I had a blast making a cupcake.

Piazza

Sunday mass in our condo is at 8am. It's too early for us. We found out that there's 11am mass at Piazza so we go there whenever we're late. Basty and Alec actually like it there because they get to play @ the playground.

Timezone

As a reward, we went to Timezone and the kids had funnn!

Best in Dance and Movement

Basty was awarded "Best in Dance and Movement". I believe he really deserved the award since he looves dancing. Two thumbs up for Basty my dancer :)

Basty's culminating day

Basty's culminating day theme was God's hands at work. Their performances were centered on the 7 days of creation. The performance of Basty's class was God's first day of work "Let there be light".

When we were asking him about his performance, he did not want to tell us. He just said that he'll be singing and dancing. It's always like that with him. But on the performance day, he always surprise me because he always know what he's doing and i'm such a proud momma :)

4th birthday

blowing of candles

Time flies so fast...my baby boy is now 4 years old, soon i won't be able to call him baby anymore.

We never planned to have visitors because we didn't really prepare many food, but when I asked our neighbor (who called other neighbors), we had instant party. Most of our neighbors(same floor) came. Sabi nga nila, the more the merrier. Basty had fun naman. Sorry lang kasi no ice cream dahil may cough silang dalawa ni Alec (including daddy).

Dentist visit

Magic chair

Basty is now comfortable going to the dentist which he calls tito Jay. He likes sitting on the dentist chair which he calls magic chair. Yes, we're glad to have found a dentist who was able to introduce everything to Basty in a different level which Basty appreciates.

Last Sunday, we were there for another session of "sucking of worms" from his teeth. I think we'll be ready for the root canal by weekend.

Basty follows whatever tito Jay says. He's not eating chocolates, cookies and peanut butter because tito Jay told him not too. Yay!

6 months and counting

I went to my OB today for my regular check up. Good news is that I gained 8 lbs. in 1 month. I was really hoping to gain a lot. My OB is happy but is conscious too, thus if I gain more than 5 lbs. in another month, she will ask me to take glucose test to check my sugar level. I was borderline (gestational diabetes) with my last pregnancy. Sana wag lang OGTT. I don't like waiting too long in the hospital plus i don't like the 3x blood extraction, not to mention fasting :(

She was asking me if I want to have more babies after this...I said no and I'm planning to be ligated. She said she needs to talk to my husband about that because he needs to sign a letter that he's ok with the ligation. Actually, Eric and I agreed already that we're now happy and contented with 3 babies.

Side Kwento on Typhoon Basyang:
Last night the wind was howling and it was really eerie and the brownout made it impossible to sleep. I might ask our help na lang siguro to cook Adobo and put it in the ref...at least matagal masira ang adobo and minsan mas masarap sya pag pinapainit na lang.

Since walang pasok si Basty, I told him to color books and cut patterns na lang. He can't watch TV cause wala pang power. He's okay naman when I left. Basta daw dapat may pasalubong akong dala later :)
