Guilly's

Our first choice for the reception was Sweet Pea at the Venice Piazza McKinley Hill. We liked the place kaso di naging okay usapan namin. It's actually the reason why we chose St. Michael's parish because it's near the Piazza.

We ended up booking at Guilly's, Glorietta 5. The funny part there is that di pa namin napupuntahan ni Eric yung place when I suggested it to him. I found out about the it from Maqui (sis in nawie). I read her blog about her son's baptism. We reserved the place siguro mga 3 weeks before the event. We did not book the entire place because they want us to book a minimum of 80 pax and for some reason, the price per head is higher even if you commit on more guests.

To our disappointment, when we went there to check on some details, Agnes, the manager told us that they accepted another booking and some of our guests will not be accommodated inside. Super bad trip talaga. I expected at least a call from her to confirm how many guests are we really having to finalize the table arrangement, but no, there was no advice.

I was not able to eat well during the event so I can't say if the food was any good. But since it's eat all you can buffet, with pasta and mongolian choices, I'm sure the guests found something they wanted.

Dress / Shoes / Candles / Giveways

I used Pink ribbon for the candles. As for the dress, we used the same dress that her ate Alec used. She used it on her baptism only. Nagpaka practical na lang so we did not buy her a new dress since one time lang naman isusuot.

I saw the cute photo/note holder at Landmark. I didn't have the time so I asked Eric to choose and buy.

For special favors to the godparents, I ordered cupcakes from Tinapay ni Tinay. I actually talked to Tinay siguro five days before the event. Ganun ka rush and I'm happy to say na masarap naman and nice naman ang dating.

Guest sheet

Instead of the usual Guest book, I copied this idea from another nawie, sis Maqui. She was kind enough to email the file she used for her son Aki. We had fun reading the messages from our guests.

We all had our flu vaccine today. Alehra didn't cry, sooo brave :)

The band-aid has a check mark and it's cute.

Solids (another milestone)

Last March 27, Alehra finally ate solid food. She's sooo takaw. I made plain lugaw for her. She actually cried when I stopped giving her food. I hope she won't grow a picky eater like ate and kuya.

I plan to give her squash and carrots after few days.

Timezone

As a reward, we went to Timezone and the kids had funnn!

Best in Dance and Movement

Basty was awarded "Best in Dance and Movement". I believe he really deserved the award since he looves dancing. Two thumbs up for Basty my dancer :)

Basty's culminating day

Basty's culminating day theme was God's hands at work. Their performances were centered on the 7 days of creation. The performance of Basty's class was God's first day of work "Let there be light".

When we were asking him about his performance, he did not want to tell us. He just said that he'll be singing and dancing. It's always like that with him. But on the performance day, he always surprise me because he always know what he's doing and i'm such a proud momma :)

Yaya

Here's Maida, the yaya I mentioned on my previous post. You might want to think twice before hiring her.

Yaya diaries

We got a yaya from the agency owned by someone I know. I thought that will ensure that we'll get a good yaya. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Nahuli namin sya na kumuha sya ng money from us. Napaamin naman namin sya pero after a very long time and even after nyang umamin, I didn't see any remorse on her part. I had to say  "O, baka naman gusto mong mag sorry sa amin?".

We gave her a second chance. Pero when we checked her things (feb5) meron uli syang mga kinuha from us. So we talked to her and told her na pinapaalis na namin sya.

It was our first time to fire a yaya. Ang bigat sa loob. Then few nights ago, we found out na siniraan pala nya kami sa isa naming katulong na bago.

We have 3 yayas now. Dalawang bago and the old one who will stay with us until end of March only. She's going to go to school this June.  She'll be a working student and will be staying sa in-laws ko, dun na sya mag wo-work. Nakaka sad nga na aalis sya kasi super like sya ni Alec. Pag gising ni Alec sya na ang tinatawag nya and she really knows how to feed Alec. Mahaba pasensya nya sa mga kids and gusto nila sya. Kaso lang we don't want to stop her naman dahil at least may plan sya for her future. She likes to be a teacher.

Fever

Alehra had fever yesterday. Even if I know that it's from the vaccine, I can't help but be scared pa rin. Buti na lang after nyang uminom twice ng paracetamol naging normal na temp nya.

Set of three?

We bought the kids a new toy - Twist car. Their playmates kasi have one so kawawa naman sila. Ngayon naman, they are fighting over it kung sino ang gagamit. I think we need to buy one more. Pano na paglaki ni Alehra? Do we need to buy toys in set of three? Ang gastos...wahhh!

3rd month

Today is Ehra's third month. I am happy that she's healthy (except for the colds). Since I'm back to work, she's now drinking my expressed milk when I'm in the office. I was glad when she didn't have a hard time drinking from the bottle. She's really not a cry baby and she's not fussy.

Last Saturday (Jan.15) we had her ears pierced. I'm disappointed with myself when I forgot to take a video (not even a photo) of it.

She's also on track with the baby's milestones. She coos a lot when you talk to her and she also smile back. She follows you when you move from side to side. She can carry her head for a long period of time.

We have scheduled her baptism on the 29th of this month. Hope everything will be okay considering we only had 3 weeks to plan it.
